Description: |
This is a guided backcountry hiking/camping event on Jennings State Forests' Pioneer Trail. The Pioneer Trail is approximately 12 miles in length and offers constant elevation changes, waterfalls and beautiful visual vistas. This hike will be guided by Forest Staff with knowledge of the history of the area as well as extensive knowledge of backpacking/camping.

THIS HIKE IS CONSIDERED TO BE MODERATE TO DIFFICULT BECAUSE OF THE ELEVATION CHANGES AND REMOTE NATURE OF THE TRAIL. PLEASE BE AWARE BEFORE APPLYING FOR THE EVENT. THE PACE OF THE HIKE WILL BE DICTATED BY THE GROUPS MUTUAL DESIRE OF PACE. THERE IS NO PREDETERMINED LENGTH TO BE HIKED. TRANSPORTATION FOR THOSE WHO WISH TO STOP AT ANYTIME WILL BE PROVIDED.

Participants will be drawn at random via the OOF website prior to the event. Participants will be selected to participate in only one event unless there are unfilled slots available at other events for which you have applied. Selected participants will be notified by email.
